2 Samuel: A King After God's Own Heart

In our study of 2 Samuel, we follow the rise of David as the king of Israel and witness the complexities of a man after God's own heart. This book provides a vivid look at the heights of God’s blessing through the Davidic Covenant—the promise of an eternal kingdom—as well as the sobering depths of human sin and its consequences. As we journey through these chapters verse-by-verse, we see that while David was a great king, he was a flawed one, pointing us to our ultimate need for the perfect King, Jesus Christ. This series explores themes of repentance, God's sovereign grace, and the unwavering faithfulness of a God who keeps His promises even when His people stumble.
